New blog for Public Transport Industry
Preston-based transport consultancy firm TAS has announced the launch of a new weblog, designed for people running, marketing and planning public transport services in the UK.
The site, entitled TAS Transport Briefing, contains a series of articles by TAS director Chris Cheek, and other members of staff will add contributions in future. Registered users of the blog are invited to comment on the issues raised and add their own experiences to the articles.
Chris Cheek commented, “The web is about building communities of people with shared interests and objectives. We feel that this could be useful in the public transport industry, and as the UK’s leading specialist transport consultancy, we decided that it was up to us to give it a go.”
He added that TAS would maintain the site for an experimental period to test reactions. If these were favourable, it would become a permanent feature of the company’s work. The site does not carry advertising, and TAS operates a strict privacy policy.
