Park and Ride
There are well over 100 bus based Park and Ride (P&R) sites in the UK and TAS holds an extensive database detailing the characteristics and performance of each site. We have been involved in the development of many of the successful P&R operations, including Cambridge, Oxford and York.

We have undertaken projects to determine the demand potential for new P&R sites, using our knowledge of operations throughout the UK. We offer a complete package of services to develop new P&R operations, including:
- Demographic analysis of the catchment area
- Analysis of existing parking capacity and charges in the town/city centre
- Applying a range of traffic interception rates to traffic flow data to estimate demand
- Modelling the impact of price and charging strategies
- Assessment of bus operating costs, and
- Determining commercial viability and subsidy requirements.
Park and Ride Great Britain
Our first report analysing bus based Park and Ride in Great Britain was published in 1996. The report has been updated several times since then and the most recent edition (2003) is available from TAS Publications. The 2006 edition is in preparation.
