Quality Partnership and Kick-Start Initiatives
TAS has been closely involved with Quality Partnerships and Kick-Start initiatives since their inception. We have worked with both local authorities and operators on their development and we have a proven track record in working on projects that deliver passenger growth.
Between 1999 and 2003, TAS undertook detailed evaluation and monitoring of all the UK Quality Partnerships for the then DETR. This involvement gives us a unique understanding of the development of Quality Partnerships and Kick-Start bids.
We believe that we have been involved more closely with the Quality Partnership process – both at a micro and a macro level – than any other organisation. Quality Partnerships are highly variable agreements – in scale, content and performance – and we believe that it is particularly important that local authorities are fully aware of their use and potential.
Our extensive experience enables us to deliver much greater value for money for clients in this area of work because:
· We have researched and reported on every Quality Partnership that has been developed in the
· We maintain a comprehensive database of Quality Partnership projects, spending, passenger trends and experiences that allows us to compare and forecast resource costs and passenger gains from most combinations of initiatives.
· We have produced and used, in over 50 bus networks, analysis software that identifies growth potential and commercial viability, which allows for identification of optimum Quality Partnerships and Kick-Start strategies.
Our staff teams include the full range of skills and experience necessary to develop a successful growth strategy and have a proven track record in achieving this.
